ISO 21001:2018 Certification
Certify how your university, college, or training institution manages teaching, learning, and research — audited against the international standard for Educational Organization Management Systems.
Learning outcomes, backed by a management system
ISO 21001:2018 is the international standard for Educational Organization Management Systems (EOMS). It applies to any organisation that supports the acquisition and development of competence through teaching, learning, or research — universities, colleges, vocational institutes, and training providers of any size or delivery method.
The standard shares its high-level structure with ISO 9001, so it integrates cleanly alongside an existing quality management system, but its requirements are specific to education: identifying the needs of learners and other beneficiaries, designing and delivering curricula, safeguarding assessment integrity, and supporting learners beyond the classroom.
Certification demonstrates that programme quality, learner support, and continual improvement are governed systematically — not dependent on any one department or individual.

Clear governance structures support transparent decision-making across departments.
Accreditation & funding eligibility
Increasingly recognised by regulators and funders as evidence of institutional quality.
Better staff engagement
Clearer processes and support reduce friction for faculty and administrative staff.
Assessment integrity
Documented controls protect the credibility of grades and qualifications.
International recognition
Supports cross-border partnerships, exchange programmes, and mobility agreements.
Our certification process
A structured, EGAC-accredited audit pathway from application to certificate issuance, and beyond.
Application & contract review
We scope your certification boundary — campuses, faculties, and delivery modes — and confirm audit duration and pricing.
Documentation review
Your EOMS policy, objectives, and supporting documentation are reviewed against ISO 21001:2018.
Stage 1 audit
An on-site readiness assessment confirming your EOMS is implemented and prepared for the certification audit.
Stage 2 audit
Full evaluation of implementation and effectiveness across curriculum design, assessment, and learner support.
Certification decision
An independent technical committee reviews audit findings ahead of the certification decision.
Certificate issuance
Your ISO 21001:2018 certificate is issued, valid for three years under the EGAC accreditation scope.
Surveillance & recertification
Annual surveillance audits maintain certification; a recertification audit renews it at the three-year mark.
